Fine Tune Your Sales Copy And Increase Your Sales

Your sales copy is your most important part of your business. It
does not matter how hot your product is, if you do not have good
sales copy you are not going to sell anything. Now that we are in
the midst of the busy season for selling many products online, it
is time to take a second look at your sales copy. Always
remember, no sales copy is ever set in stone.
Split testing:Once you have targeted traffic coming to your site,
it is time to do some split testing on your sales page. Here is
how you can do it:
1. Write or have written 2 sales pages. They do not have to be
radically different. Just change some words in the headlines and
sub headlines and add a couple of benefits.
2. Streamline 50% of your direct marketing to one page and the
rest to another page and track it carefully.
3. Let your testing run for 3-4 weeks and note the results.
You will be able to fine-tune your sales letters like this and
really see what works.
Headlines: Experiment with your headline, change a word, and use
a more dynamic approach. You will be surprised at how much
difference just a couple of words make. Remember to keep detailed
records of all changes and sales conversion results.
Sub headlines: The above also applies to sub headlines. Keep in
mind that many readers skim through sales pages and read only the
sub headlines. This is what will sell the product for these
people.
Are you remembering the 3 Ps of sales copy?
* Personalizing is very important in salesmanship. When you
personalize, you extend your hand in friendship to your reader.
Building relationships is exactly what real selling is all about.
Make your sales page friendly, not vulgar, by using too much
familiarity. Readers will feel good when they read this type of
copy that is written directly for them not at them. Write your
sales page as if you were addressing a respected and good
friend.
* Persuading is of course the heart of a sales letter and will
be done by emphasizing benefits not features. The features of
their product obsess many people, when they write company sales
pages, which leads to them neglecting the important benefits.
* Professional above all it is vital to respect your reader by
keeping your sales page professional. Internet buyers are getting
savvier and simply will not put up with false hype and
kindergarten tactics. Make your sales page a good, responsible
and professional read.
With all the advertising out there you will be facing stiff
competition from your competitors. Here are a few tips to help
you stand out from the crowd and grab your reader's attention.
1. Make a really stunning headline-your readers must get
attracted by this and want to read more. Make several headlines
and choose a few to experiment with. Think like your potential
buyers. Make your sub headlines stand out and draw your reader
into the copy.
2. Emphasize benefits not features.
3. Iron Clad guarantee!
4. Bonuses you can make this a surprise bonus, which is always
fun for your reader.
5. Do not use the same old tactics:-try not to make your sales
page sound just like other sales copy.
So as you go into the beginning of the Internet season, try to
pay special attention to fine tuning your sales copy. In this way
you will get the maximum sales and really make this season your
most profitable one ever.
