================== ARTICLE START ==================
One of the hardest parts of doing business is actually closing
the sale. It is rare for people to buy on impulse, and this
means you will have to work with prospective customers to close
the sale. One of the most powerful tools you can use is a
mailer.

What is a mailer? It is a sequence of messages set up on your
autoresponder. These messages are scheduled and sent to your
recipient at timed intervals. They are used primarily for
closing sales, or getting prospects to join your opportunity.

Setting up: Setting up a mailer is easy to do. Firstly you will
need to subscribe to an autoresponder service. You can do this
by paying a monthly subscription fee, and they will take care
of list management and sending out emails. You will write 6 or
10 messages and then schedule them to go out at certain dates.
They can be daily, weekly or whatever your business needs. You
can set up a link to your mailer sequence on your website or in
your newsletter.

More information: The most common form of mailer for closing a
sale is one that provides more information. Many people will
want more information on a product before buying. They will
click on a link, on your website or in your newsletter to get
this.

This mailer can be set up with 6 daily messages or any number
of messages over any period of time! They will be presenting
the benefits of your product or service and giving more
information. This is a powerful way to close many sales and
once you have set it up will run on autopilot.

When recruiting your team for MLM business purposes, mailers
are very good for persuading prospects to join your network.
They can again be set up for daily messages about your
opportunity and of course emphasizing the benefits of joining.
Do not make this a hard sell; always use soft sell, and pre
selling tactics. Make your prospects curious and excited to
know more so that they will eventually join your opportunity.

Make multiple mailers: Make more than one mailer and split
test. Split your prospects list by using different links. Send
one mailer to one section of your prospects and another to the
other section. See which one gains the most team members. You
will then know which mailer to use for maximum efficiency. Use
different ones for multiple opportunities. You can offer your
established team members a chance to join related
opportunities. Once they trust you they will often be happy to
join you in other ventures.

As you can see mailers can be used very successfully to close
sales and best of all they will work on autopilot. This will
save you time and a lot of advertising money.

Coupons, Maps and Other Advertising Rip-Offs
by BIG Mike McDaniel, Small Business Advertising Expert

Every community has 'em. Fast talkers who roll into town with a
clever idea to sell to people in business.

Many times the ideas are clever and cute but you should weigh the
ups and downs of every offer before you dig out the checkbook.
Most of these in-town-for-a-day people want their cash up front.

Some of the common ways to separate you from your cash are:

Coupon Books
They offer to put you in a giant coupon book to be sold for the
needy charity or Lions Club. Books are sold on the phone for $29
and delivered by the Boy Scouts. Watch out for errors and missing
expirations once the operation has moved to another town.

Telephone Book Covers
They wrap around the book and the callers see your ad every time
they reach for the book. Might be OK if you own the wrecker
service, locksmith or funeral home, but run the other way if you
have a grocery, Mickey Dees, or bank.

City Maps
Your ad goes somewhere around the edge of the map. You might get
pitched by several companies. Some look better than others, most
are very pricey. Pick up maps like these when you see them and
decide if you'd do business with anyone on the map because of the
ad. Distribution is the selling point. Placement is the bug-a-
boo. What if your ad is on the back and the reader only looks at
the front? Don't be fooled by the promise of radio ads
proclaiming free maps and mentioning your name.

Bibles for Newlyweds
I wish I had thought of this one 30 years ago. I would be
clipping coupons instead of writing about it.

The fast talker promises to send a Bible to all newlyweds in the
county (the names and addresses of the happy couples are public
record at the courthouse). Four to six sales at about $500 each
and they mail a one dollar Bible 4th class, a peel and stick
label stuck inside with the name of the "sponsors" in inkjet
color.

They can easily sell a town a day at 3 large and make one trip a
quarter to visit the courthouse for names. Work it for two months
on a route and eat cake the other 10. A great moneymaker for the
Bible people, a dud for advertising effectiveness. But like kids
in school and American Flags, this emotion sells well in every
community.

There's also a "Grief Therapy" book that is given to the funeral
homes to give to the bereaved. Each book has four big ads in the
front, sold in less than a day. What's next, Pizza tent signs on
top of the hearse?.

There are hundreds of advertising "opportunities" out there. Your
job as a business owner is to separate the effective from the
cute and clever.

Links And Traffic
http://www.LinksAndTraffic.com

I read a message on a forum the a while back where a new
webmaster was asking for suggestions regarding article
submissions to create back links. The person asked how long the
articles should be, how many hyperlinks to include, and other
questions about article submissions. I was quite surprised by
some of the responses that this poster received.

What Sort of Advice Was Given...

It was actually recommended that articles only need to be 250
words long and that the person asking the question should include
4-5 hyperlinks. Another person suggested to write a 500-word
article and to include many hyperlinks, because the only purpose
of the articles were to create back links.

There is some truth to this... A person could write a short
article and get it submitted to many article directories. And,
simply generating back links is one way that a webmaster can
increase his or her position in the search engine rankings.

But, writing a 250-word article will probably not result in that
webmaster being considered an expert on the topic that he or she
is writing about.

Experts In Their Fields

Taking the time to create an informative and helpful article will
help a person to be considered an expert in his or her field.
Imagine for a moment if some of the most famous names on the
Internet were to only write brief articles to generate back
links. Would Matt Cutts (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/) receive
the recognition that he does if he just scribbled a few sentences
here and there? Would Joel Comm (http://www.joelcomm.com/) be
considered an Adsense expert without writing informative how-to
articles and books for those wanting to make money from Adsense?
Would you know or care who Robin Nobles
(http://www.searchengineworkshops.com/) was if she did not create
in-depth articles about search engine optimization? Would you
even be bothering to read this article?

You can generate a bit of traffic by creating back links by
hammering out low-quality articles. But, if you want to be known
as an expert, you need to take a different approach and provide
the quality information people are seeking. If you have
information and expertise that others are unable to find on the
Internet, then you will get many more visitors as a result of
writing an article.

If you are looking for more than simple back links to your site,
then it is worth it to take the time to write a high-quality
article. A high quality article, that is written with the reader
in mind --- not the search engines --- is more likely to actually
get clicks (human visitors) into your site. This is what
separates the very successful webmasters from those who are
simply getting by.

To be known as an expert or an authority in your area requires
articles and information that human beings will actually read.
After reading this kind of article, a person will think to
himself "This author has the information that I am looking for"
and the reader will then visit the writer's website.

How To Succeed With Article Marketing

A well-written article can be submitted to literally thousands of
publishers of ezines, newsletters, and free reprint article sites
and can result in dozens and sometimes hundreds of back links for
a website. Now, not every publisher will pick up your article,
but for the ones that do, you get a back link. More important
than the back links though is the number of people that will cite
your article, forward it to their friends, and reference it in
their own articles that they are distributing.

These high-quality articles are how a webmaster becomes known as
an "authority" on a topic. When you write for the reader and
offer something of real value, you will reap the rewards with a
huge influx of traffic to your website.

How To Fail With Article Marketing

Generalized junk articles that are filled with hyperlinks and
self promotion will only result in a few back links, and people
who actually read those less-than-quality articles are not very
likely to ever visit your site.

Poorly written articles are also unlikely to get published in
ezines and newsletters where you can reach potentially thousands
of readers in a single day.

The worst thing about the low-quality junk articles is that if
people do read them, they might always think of you as a "junk
peddler", and most people don't buy from people whom they
perceive as "junk peddlers".

As a webmaster, you need to decide for yourself what goals you
have in mind for your article submission campaign. If you limit
yourself to only generating back links, you will not see the full
potential of visitors and traffic that you could be getting to
your website.

A Final Thought...

An article that is good enough to wind up on sites like
http://www.About.com can give you a huge and consistent growth in
traffic for some time to come. Articles that are picked up by
large newsletters like http://www.SiteProNews.com can deliver
thousands of visitors to your website in a day, add to your
credentials as an "authority" website, and will create a
situation where your website is one of the first places that
people turn to for information in your field.

The bottom line is that if you write for the human reader instead
of the search engines, you will be rewarded with many more
visitors, and you can gain an authority status among your
visitors.

The choice is yours. You can spend an extra hour or two creating
a high-quality article that will be published on more websites
creating more back links to your website, establish you as an
authority in your field, and allow you to see thousands of
visitors in a day when your article is published in one or a
dozen ezines. Or you can save the extra hour or two and pray that
your limited efforts will amount to anything of real value.

the skill and talent for web design, then you can be able to
make graphics, templates, banners etc., upload all to your
website and allow your visitors to pass on your fonts,
graphics, templates, banners etc., for free, of course. Simply
display your ad onto your designs or oblige recipients that
they link directly to your site. Also be certain that you
incorporate a link back to your website in your copyright
notice and oblige your recipients to hold intact your
copyright notice.

6. Free redirect service. Permit your web visitors to impart
your free online service to their visitors, web site, e-zine
or newsletter subscribers. It can be a free e-mail, search
engine submissions, e-mail consulting, etc. Let your
imagination soar and think of things that you can offer for
free.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
With customer attention span becoming shorter and shorter,
ecommerce businesses and small online entrepreneurs alike are
looking for creative and innovative ways to capture their
audience more than ever. Several businesses are starting to
turn to multimedia audio and video marketing for several
reasons. I realized the power of multimedia marketing several
years ago while producing marketing videos for different
cruising companies that still hold true today more than ever.

Finding a way to entertain customers while subliminally
slipping in the benefits is a great way for people to feel like
they're not being sold to. Who likes to be sold to anyways? It
brings back the psychological triggers of the in-person sales
pitch where people feel pressured. If a customer turns on the
television or watches a website video with a sales pitch
through some form of direct response marketing, they don't feel
as threatened compared to an "in-person" sales pitch.

I remember one time I did a sales video for a company that was
sent out to a group of database clients. Those same clients
also received a flyer. When the people who responded asked what
method they learned about the offer through, only a small
percentage said they read the flyer. Everyone else watched or
listened to the video. Although the flyer was only a blurb, the
video was about seven minutes, but could easily be listened to
while they were busy and multitasking. From that campaign and
several others, we were fortunate to be able to test and track
our results from the media that was sent out and how it was
delivered in direct comparison to the response. The results
were always that the promotional videos received the best
response and call to action.

In multimedia marketing, there are several resources that
maintain customer attention on websites when used properly.
Streaming audio, flash video, professional slideshow
presentations and commercial video production do the trick.
After doing different tests on the web, we've found that the
"mix and match" works the best. A "mix and match" is using a
combination of real video, possible animations and graphic text
instead of having only one still image, motion video or graphics
source.

The reason we have found this works best is because it hits the
triggers of customers on different levels that they can connect
with. When using video in multimedia marketing, customers
relate that directly to the realism of it. When using streaming
audio, customers are able to connect the voice and soundtrack to
everything else that is on the website simultaneously, allowing
the online experience to be more personalized. When using
motion still images, this puts customer at ease while they
connect the images and soundtrack to their own world of endless
possibilities. A picture is "worth a thousand words" when adding
the proper music and visual cues that hits the emotional
subliminal buying triggers.

When using any or all of these resources, pacing is the key.
Pacing is the speed and momentum at which the presentation is
being delivered. Just like a headline that grabs customer
attention, a multimedia marketing solution is an extended
headline with benefits, features and a call to action about
your business.

Do Your Readers Wish You Would Stop Writing Articles?

Article Description:
====================

For a lot of us, writing articles can be a chore. Even if you
don't gnaw on your nails in the fear of breaking grammatical
rules, the thought of churning out even one 700+ word article per
week is probably daunting. But is there an alternative that is
easier - and sometimes more effective - that you can use to gain
free exposure from writing without having to write long articles?

For a lot of us, writing articles can be a chore. Even if you
don't gnaw on your nails in the fear of breaking grammatical
rules, the thought of churning out even one 700+ word article per
week is probably daunting. Imagine writing one per day!

So we search for tools and aids to help us break the writer's
block. We hope that we can produce a brilliant discussion that
grips the reader with its 'profundity'. We labour over the
topic of the article and sweat bullets over every paragraph.

But is there an alternative that is easier - and sometimes more
effective?

Concentrate On Effectiveness, Not Wordiness

Does your marketplace require all articles to be thorough
discussions of the subject matter? Think about it.

My reading habits (and there are a lot of people who read like
me) may prove differently. The sheer volume of information that
we have to process now forces us to take a different approach to
our reading.

More and more we scan the material, seeking the nuggets from the
body of text that catch our attention and that seem worthy of
careful consideration.

Get To The Point Already!

That would explain why concise bullet points are very important
parts of communications - they get the message across quickly.

That's why writing quick tips is an increasingly powerful
strategy. Extracting the substance and offering a tip instead of
a lengthy article demonstrates your grasp of the topic - it takes
good understanding to boil ideas down to their essence and
communicate them quickly.

More and more readers will appreciate this as it saves us
valuable time and allows us to return to our business of
implementing the solutions.

Beat The Article-Writing Demon Into Submission!

While those who are haunted by visions of articles refusing to be
written may be determined to conquer the demons and become
skilled at producing lengthy articles on demand, you can relax in
the knowledge that there's another way.

Take one thought at a time, one practical 'how to' snippet and
explain it in a brief tip. Say what has to be said and nothing
more.

Create a short tip article made of primarily bulleted points.
Circumvent your blank page blues.

You can be sure your readers and your previously fearful heart
will thank you for it.
