================== ARTICLE START ==================
There are many reasons why people fail in network marketing.

However, instead of looking into each of these causes, the
purpose of this article is to explain what people MUST know
when they start their network marketing business so that they
will have a better chance to succeed.

This is what you must know in order to succeed in your network
marketing business:

1) What is your "job" scope?

2) What is expected of you in your "job"?

3) What you should expect in your "job"?

Network marketing is a business and not a job! In fact, in the
network marketing or MLM circle, the acronym J.O.B. stands for:

- Just Obey Boss (Work on a job and take orders from the boss.)

- Just Over Broke (Work on a job, get paid, and after you pay
all your bills, you'll be just over broke.)

- Journey Of the Broke (Work on a job and you'll likely end up
broke after working their whole life!)

- Jump Out of Bed (Hit the alarm clock and jump out of bed each
morning to get yourself ready for another day's work.)

So, what am I talking about?

WHAT IS YOUR "JOB" SCOPE?

Say, you check out a job on a classified ad. You'll be looking
at the job title and then the job description. Some ads are so
small that you really wonder what's involved. So, you write
that perfect job application letter, update your resume and
secure your interview. And besides the salary that you'd most
interested in, you'd be finding out the duties and
responsibilities of the job.

Bottom line: You know the scope of your job when you get one.

Now, when you start out in your network marketing business, do
you know your "job" scope?

As a network marketer, this is your "job" scope:

- Understand your product and offerings

> Learn about the products especially those that you want to
focus on (if your company offers a wide range)

> Find out the unique selling proposition of your products. In
other words, what are the benefits of your products?

> Be a product of your products so as to know their pros and
cons and you'll be able to share from first-hand experience.

- Understand the company, its mission and vision

> Find out when and how was the company started

> Find out who owns it and who's who in the management team

> Find out where are the regional offices (if any) and visit
some of them if possible

> Know the company's mission and its vision

- Understand the compensation plan

> Study the compensation plan and know how to explain to others
clearly

> Know the merits of your company's compensation plan and how
it compare with other compensation plans.

- Understand the network marketing industry

> Find out about the network marketing industry and how it
started

> Study the difference between legitimate network marketing and
illegal pyramids

- Build your network through duplication

> Realize that network marketing is not sales but a "people"
business

> Build your network through your circle of influence and
relationship, friendship, partnership and leadership

> Provide training and support to duplicate your downline
business partners

> Multiply your efforts so as to grow your business
exponentially through the power of LEVERAGE

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU IN YOUR "JOB"?

Once you got that job and started working, you are expected to
learn and pick up your skills from your seniors and your peers
and even from your subordinates.

It is in fact not much different in network marketing. And
these are the things that are expected of you:

- To get into a "business" mind set

> Realize that since this is a business, you must take
responsibility as a business owner

> As you are your own boss, you owe it to no one except
yourself whether you succeed or fail

> A business takes time to grow, so be patient with yourself

> Network marketing is a "get rich sure" and not a "get rich
quick" business

- To practice the "success" mind set

> Set your goals and plan your strategy, then take action

> When you do not get the results you want, don't give up
easily but adjust your strategy and take action again

> Keep adjusting your strategy as necessary to achieve the
results you want

> In this business, you cannot fail if you practice the
"success" mind set

- To have the right attitudes

> In network marketing, you can only succeed if you help others
succeed

> Use less of "I, me, myself" and think about how you can add
value to your prospects and partners

> Be prepared to walk the extra mile and get busy once your
network starts to grow

> How fast your network grows depends on you as you are the
leader of your own network

> Whatever you DO, not whatever you say, is duplicated by your
network

- To learn the "business" skills

> It's not money that makes you rich, it's business skills

> Learn the basic business skills that you need to make this
business work

> These are essentially inter-personal and communication skills
encompassing prospecting, inviting, presenting, closing,
following up, training and support

- To share the business with others

> If you had started a traditional business with $100,000,
would you open your door to do business everyday? Yes, of
course.

> Network marketing is a word of mouth business. Thus, to do
business means you simply tell others about your products or
services.

> When you share your business everyday, you are in fact
opening your door to do business everyday.

> Sharing your business is just making a referral. Do not
confuse it with selling. A good example is to refer a friend to
a restaurant because you thought the food was great. However,
you most likely won't know how they cook or what ingredients
the chefs use. You just loved the taste of the food or perhaps
the service there.

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT IN YOUR "JOB"?

Once you got that job and started working, you are expected to
learn and pick up your skills as soon as possible but not
instantly. (Unless of course you already have relevant
experience in a previous similar job.) So, you actually go
through a probation period of 3, 6, 12 or even 24 months. And
then, initially, there's so much to learn and so exciting.
However, this wears out as time goes by...

It is in fact not much different in network marketing. And
these are the things that you should expect:

- There is a learning curve

> No matter how simple your product or compensation plan seems,
there is simply a learning curve

> If you are starting network marketing from scratch, you need
time to learn and develop the "business" and "success" mind
sets as well as your "business" skills.

- Your initial excitement will not last long

> Your initial excitement when you join a network marketing
company can only last for 1 to 2 months

> So, you need to maintain your enthusiasm by building your
belief and commitment by attending meetings, training, reading
or listening to audio, etc

- Replenishment is necessary

> People come and people will go whether in jobs or in network
marketing

> As this is inevitable, you need to constantly replenish your
network by sponsoring new people till you reach a critical mass
whereby the growth in your network exceeds the attrition rate. I
have written an article, How To Create A Surefire Stream Of
Prospects For Your Network Marketing Business which you can
download from http://www.rogerloh.com/mlmtips

- There will always be rejection

> No one has a 100% record in sponsoring no matter how good
they are.

> Realize that rejection is part of the "job" and that they are
rejecting the opportunity, not you

> Dismiss the rejection by chanting, "Some will, some won't, so
what, someone else is waiting"

> There are many reasons why people reject your business
opportunity. It could be due to money, time, family or personal
problems, fear of rejection, fear of failure, etc.

> There is a ratio like 1 in 10 will join you after you share
your business with them. So, the key is to share with as many
people as possible. And the good news is that your ratio will
increase.

To recap, this is what you must know in order to succeed in
your network marketing business:

1) What is your "job" scope?

2) What is expected of you in your "job"?

3) What you should expect in your "job"?

In summary, your job is to share your business through word of
mouth with your family and friends. So, learn to share as much
as you can and you will get better each time.

However, the decision to join you or not lies with them, not
you :-)

Being a method through which many companies promote their
products, online advertising has taken off quite a lot with the
increase in popularity of the Internet. More and more people
frequent the Internet on a regular basis and in doing so notice
a plethora of advertisements for some product or another. It is
a great method through which both small businesses and
multinational corporations alike can market their products and
as such, an abundance of these businesses integrate online
advertising into their marketing tactics.

Though there is a wealth of techniques through which online
advertising can be carried out, the most popular form at the
present is through rich media sources. To elaborate, rich media
sources include such things as Macromedia Flash and these are
used to advertise a company's product. Sometimes they may be
quite simple whereas other times these ads can be a little more
complex, utilizing such things as streaming video and audio to
convey the message in a manner similar to a television
commercial. They may appear in a variety of ways while you are
browsing the Internet also. Frequently these online
advertisements will materialize before the requested content on
the website while other times they will scroll across the
screen. Some of these online advertisements are, in fact,
scaled-down adaptations of actual television commercials. These
also appear frequently when you are attempting to view some
media source for the Internet.

The infrastructure that is necessary for online advertising can
become quite pricy if one wishes to develop an elaborate set of
advertisements and as such many small businesses shy away from
online aspect of marketing. However for those that can
incorporate online advertising into their marketing scheme, it
can become a rather beneficial tool. Not only does it permit
the expansion of markets but it also allows a company the
opportunity to showcase their creativity.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
For small businesses, advertising can often be costly, often
prohibitively so. Many small business owners find it difficult
to engage in home business marketing, because it just seems to
be so expensive. However, there are many ideas that you can use
to increase your visibility.

Here are some ideas that can be very useful in home business
marketing:

Start a frequent buyer club. Your loyal customers should be
rewarded for patronizing your store. That way, they will give
their business to you, and no one else. It might be helpful for
you to track the purchase information of your customers, and
once theyve reached a certain threshold, give them a gift
certificate or a rebate. Alternatively, you can give them
future discounts, or simply a free gift. These ideas can be
varied almost endlessly, so get creative and experiment with
what works best for you.

Use your phone time wisely. There are many ways to use your
phone time for advertising purposes. Again, you simply have to
be a little creative. For example, when you put your customers
on-hold, instead of playing some music, remind them of some of
the upcoming events concerning your company. For, example,
invite them to a sale.

Give away business cards. This is pretty intuitive, so you
really shouldnt need someone to tell you this. However, a
reminder always helps. Business cards are one of the most
inexpensive ways you can advertise, so to neglect their use
would be pretty foolish. As much as possible, the card should
have an attractive design, and it must include all information
relevant to your business. Give your business cards to just
about everyone that you meet. You never know when your little
gift will earn you money.

Utilize e-mail signatures. Whenever you mail a potential
customer, furnish him or her with your complete business
information. This helps you to form associations in your
prospects mind you want them to remember the business when
they think of your name, and vice versa.

Website promotion. Aside from the usual methods of getting
listed in online directories and optimizing for the search
engines, you should seriously consider other, less prestigious
methods. For example, try to include your URL on just about
every surface available on your business cards, on the
uniforms of employees, and on all promotion items such as key
chains, coffee mugs, and T-shirts. You want people to be
reminded of your site everywhere they turn.

Home business marketing is not as difficult as it may first
seem. As long as you have a good supply of creativity, you
should be able to generate enough ideas to promote your
business. The ideas enumerated here should get you started, but
make sure you think up your own variations!

Many people sign up for affiliate programs with the hopes of
making some serious money. They advertise a few places and then
wait for the money to start pouring in. When it doesnt, they
blame it on the program and quit.

I am convinced the only way to make money online is to have a
consistent Advertising plan. A plan you are willing to work
hard on and commit to for a selected period of time. When
making this plan, you need to do two things. First, you should
pick a few affiliate programs that are of interest to you.
Second, you need to decide how long you want to work these
programs. Once you decide on a time period (I recommend 6
months to a year), you must make a promise to yourself that you
will not stop advertising until that time period is up. This is
perhaps the most important factor in your success.

Next, you need to consider your advertising options: traffic
exchanges, classified ads, e-mail campaigns, ezine articles,
posting to forums or message boards, chatting with others who
are interested in what you have to offer, and posting flyers
around your town. Now you see the many possible advertising
avenues you can choose from. I recommend doing all of them. It
may sound like a lot of work, but when broken down into a plan,
it is not.

One possible plan may look like this: Traffic Exchanges-1 hour
per day. Post 15 classified ads per day. Make 5 posts to a
message board or forum per day. Submit an article once per week
to an ezine. Visit chat rooms and distribute flyers as you have
extra time during the week. This all can be accomplished by
spending 2-3 hours per day. You will be surprised how much you
get done when you have a plan. You may also choose whether you
will work 5 or 6 days per week. Make a checklist for each day
of the week, and mark each task off as you finish it. That will
keep you on focus, and will make you feel good that you are one
step closer to reaching your goal.

Make a commitment to your new plan and dont get involved in
any other programs until your current programs are making you
money consistently. Dont give up. Sticking with this plan will
significantly improve your success. Remember, Advertise,
Advertise, Advertise.

ArticleBlaster Renters Insurance 101 Explained

Description: If you rent a home or apartment instead of owning a house outright you may not think you have a need for insurance or believe that it is even available to you for that matter.

Article Content:

If you rent a home or apartment instead of owning a house outright you may not think you have a need for insurance or believe that it is even available to you for that matter. The truth of the matter is that regardless of whether you own or rent it is a good idea to have insurance and even if you rent instead of buy you can qualify for insurance; it is known as renters insurance and it can be a safety net you can’t afford to miss.

At a minimum renters insurance will cover your personal property such as furniture, clothing and electronics in the event of theft, fire or natural disaster. Renters insurance may also provide protection for you in the event that someone is injured while at your residence.

There are several options available with renters insurance which can give you a lot of flexibility depending on your needs and how much you want to spend on it.

Personal property coverage will cover just your personal property in the event there is damage related to fire, hail, smoke, vandalism, lightening, plumbing, etc. This type of policy will also cover your personal belongings in the event you are the victim of theft. In order to take out this type of policy you will fix a value on your property and the policy will be written for that amount. Make sure you determine an accurate value for your personal property or you may find yourself undercovered in the event of the unexpected.

You can also take out personal liability protection which will protect you in the event that you are sued due to an injury incurred by someone while visiting your residence. This type of policy will cover related damage as well as relevant legal costs. The minimum for such a policy is usually $100,000 and will cover injuries or damage that is occurs while at your residence or that is caused by you, your children or pets.

Another type of policy you may wish to consider is known as additional living expenses. In the event that you can no longer live in your rented residence because of a hazard that is covered under the policy, this type of coverage will pay up to 20% of the contents coverage amount in order for you to pay additional living expenses. This would include hotel costs as well as meals, laundry, etc. until your residence is ready to be re-inhabited.

An improvements coverage allows you to apply up to 10% of your contents coverage in order to either replace or repair items that you redecorated or altered before a covered hazard occurred.

In the event that you’re held legally responsible for fire damage to your place of residence, a fire legal liability policy will protect you.

It is important to be aware that you are usually liable for deductibles with renters insurance just as you would be with any other type of insurance coverage. You can adjust the deductibles in order to lower the cost of your premium, which may make the policy more affordable.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Its every small business owners nightmare: you find and market
the perfect product or service only to wake up one morning and
find that someone else is producing cheap knock offs of the
same thing.

So how do you deal with it? By following our seven steps

1. Offer a better product

It sounds simple, but offering a better product is both the
easiest and most effective way to respond to product knock
offs. There is always a market for products which improve on
the ones that have come before them: make sure you're
consistently looking for ways to improve your product, and
you'll remain one step ahead of the knock off sellers.

2. Create a marketing edge

A great deal of good business comes down to great marketing.
This is another area in which it's easy to gain an advantage
over product knock offs. The people who sell knock offs aren't
interested in building a brand, creating a buzz or researching
their market. In fact, they want to spend as little time and
money as they possibly can on selling more units of their
product knock off. By investing in your marketing, you can gain
an important edge.

3. Make quality a priority

You'll never be able to stop knock offs completely. What you
must remember, however, is that knock offs have one big
disadvantage over your product: their quality.

Most knock offs are cheap, mass-produced copies of quality
goods. That's why they're sold for so little. By offering a
product which is truly high quality, you'll appeal to those
buyers who aspire to owning the real thing, and make it much
more difficult for anyone to copy you.

4. Getting a patent does not prevent competition

A patent will help you deal with knock offs to a certain
extent. What it wont do is eliminate the competition. You'll
never completely eliminate the competition. All you can do is
rise above them by making sure your product, service and
marketing is the best it can possibly be.

5. Target smaller or niche markets where you can have the edge

While you may want to conquer the world with your business,
it's often far more effective to conquer a small part of it by
targeting a niche which you can excel in. By concentrating on a
niche market you can get to know your clients and their needs
inside out, and make sure your product or service is tailor
made to fit that niche. Leave the rest of the world to the
knock off sellers.

6. Adapt to market changes and trends

In business, you have to adapt or die. By allowing your
business to trudge along, doing the same thing in the same way
you leave yourself wide open to competitors who are willing to
be innovative and to move with the times.

7. Provide exceptional customer service

Businesses which produce knock off products often aren't
interested in customer service. People like to do business with
other people they can trust: that may not apply to sellers of
knock-off products, but it should apply to you. If it does, you
have nothing to fear from product knock offs.

Summary

While it's impossible to completely eliminate product knock
offs completely, it is possible to respond to them in such a
way that your own sales don't suffer. This article provides
seven steps to help you make sure that your products and
service are able to stand up to the competition.

It doesn't matter how many clothing stores, gadget distributors
or gizmo providers are in your market, you can still
differentiate your product or service from the next and create a
powerful brand that people are drawn to time and time again.
Develop a winning strategy. Branding is just as important online
as it is off.

A brand says who you are, what you stand for, what your core
values are and where you're going. It infiltrates into
everything you do from this point forward. Your brand includes
your logo, mascot, corporate colors, uniforms, sales tactics,
marketing visuals, copy and advertising methods. It's a unique
business differentiator which sets the tone for your image, your
name and your corporate culture. It's a conscious and
subconscious message companies give off.

For instance, if you compare two major computer companies - IBM
and Apple - you'll notice that not all computers are created
equally. While Big Blue's image is corporate and conservative,
Apple radiates a more progressive and edgy appeal. But how do
companies differentiate themselves - and how can you?

In the start-up phase of ebusiness development, it's important
to brainstorm a brand, set this plan on paper and into action.
Companies like Ben & Jerry's focus on the environment, and
they've developed not only a product mission, but an economic
and social mission as well. McDonald's brand is youth-oriented,
from its hip 'I'm Lovin' It' commercials to dear old Ronald
the clown. Geico, yet another online insurance solution, promises
to save you money - a ton of money.

Once established, everything your company does should reinforce
this single point - your brand message. Customers hear it,
remember it and go to you over and over again to acquire it. Stay
tuned for Part Three: Defining Your Audience in this ten part
series.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
In order to succeed in MLM, you are going to need a steady
supply of fresh-targeted MLM leads that are anxious to get
started in this business opportunity. MLM lead vendors know
this little fact too and they can see you coming a mile away.

This can pose a problem for all but the super savvy network
marketers and people with extra-ordinary telephone skills.

Here are 5 of the most popular reasons you may want to consider
generating your own MLM marketing leads.

1. Quality. When you purchase MLM leads from a leads vendor,
you are buying a list of names and contact details that have
been generated in a very generic way to maximize the response
rate of the lead generators advertising campaign. These MLM
leads are not necessarily generated from the most targeted
means of advertising.

These leads are not selling them on any specific type of
business. When you are using this type of lead you really don't
know what type of business they may be interested in. In the
end, you are left to sorting and this can be a time consuming
procedure. Generating your own MLM leads with a website you
have control over changes all this.

2. Responsive. MLM leads that you have generated on your own
are usually much more responsive than leads that you would have
purchased from a leads vendor.
Most probably they have not been contacted by several different
network marketers and their name has not been sold over and over
again by some of the leads vendors out there.

Leads that you generate are as fresh as you can get and they
are exclusive to you only

3. Real-Time Leads. One of the most popular reasons for a
network marketer to generate their own MLM leads is that you
can receive them in real-time.

This is especially powerful for people who are in the higher
ticket business opportunities and they need the highest quality
lead they can get. Nothing beats having company specific
real-time leads in your inbox waiting to be contacted about
your product or opportunity.

4. Custom Surveys. When you are the lead generator you have
full control over the questions you want to ask your prospects.
You can simply qualify or disqualify leads based on the
questions they have answered on your lead capture page.

It is a wise idea to always run a "Comments or Questions" or
"Tell Me about You" space on your lead capture page.

Not every single prospect will fill these fields out but when
they do it will be the most valuable piece of information you
receive next to their name and number. Anything a prospect is
willing to share with you before the initial contact is like an
icebreaker.

5. Cost. Generating your own MLM leads can actually save you a
lot of money if you spend the time to setup some solid
advertising campaigns.

Like many leads companies on the web you would not have the
high cost of employees either. Your cost to generate your own
leads will be your advertising costs and any other tools you
may be using such as lead capture pages and auto responders.

These are just a few reasons you may want to consider
generating your own MLM leads for your specific product or
opportunity. It could make a difference in how effectively you
market your program.
